About TornWing

TornWing Designs is the digital home of Dave Craswell — a versatile media developer and creative technologist based in Calgary, Alberta. With over 17 years of experience spanning web design, product development, and digital branding, Dave blends artistic vision with technical precision to bring ideas to life.

Whether crafting custom websites, building eCommerce experiences, or engineering bespoke prop replicas, Dave’s work draws on a deep toolkit: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP/MySQLi, Node.js, and MongoDB — along with proficiency in platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, and Ecwid. He's also fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite and CAD tools like SolidWorks.

In recent years, Dave has expanded into electronics, microcontroller firmware, and 3D modeling — building and wiring intricate projects like lightsabers, props, and interactive installations. His background in computer security, hardware, and networking complements his creative work, making him a rare hybrid of developer, designer, and maker.

When he’s not designing or soldering, Dave enjoys movies, collectibles, and diving deep into pop culture — especially anything Star Wars or LOTR.
